Have faith in The Lord and He will never fail you

"Let us never lose sight of the fact that education is a preparation for life -- and that preparing for life is far more than knowing how to make a living or how to land on the moon. Preparing for life means building personal integrity, developing a sound sense of values, increasing the capacity and willingness to serve. Education must have its roots in moral principles. If we lose sight of that fact in our attempt to match our educational system against that of the materialists, we shall have lost far more than we could possibly gain."
(Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson)

Upon my arrival in College, I knew I already had it in me that I knew I was very well-educated. Growing up I was very optimistic and told myself that I can do everything on my own, that one day I will be fully independent and will be a strong-willed mature individual. Of course I have gone through some bumpy roads in my life and I still do today. I stumble and fall but I get up with a positive attitude and face the world knowing that I can get through the storms that life throws at me. If you ask my parents today about the times I've asked for help, they will tell you that I rarely asked for help and when I did it was because I was sick or really really was low on cash. I remember when I first got my first job, the pay was little but it was a brand new start of my new life. I tried slowly to fully let go of my parents hands although it was tough. The Summer of 2010, I even got another job while I went to school full-time, so that meant a full-time job with full-time at school. I got through that semester with flying colors. I was really thankful that I got a full semester's homework finished within the beginning of the second month of that semester. If you ask me how I did it, I'll tell you that it was by faith, it was through my strong testimony that I was able to accomplish my task the right way and on a timely manner... And the next two semesters, I'm doing it again. I have very big goals and dreams for my future. Sometimes I even feel like I'm thinking about my life way too much that I can't sleep; like I have to plan everything that will happen in the path of learning how I'm gonna get there. I just graduated from the Business College. It was a really fun and exciting experience to graduate with friends that I attended this college with. I wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors. Our learning experiences doesn't end until we choose to give up.

I haven't been the best at keeping up with this blog because of the end of this past semester and me getting sick and being in and out of the Doctors' office. I had a good time seeing my family for 3 days this past week. I'm thankful for all the support that you guys have given me to make it through life. I love you all and you know who you are.

So every weekend, I have the privilege of going to Bountiful to see the Larsens and I enjoy spending every minute I have on the weekend playing games, swimming, chatting, watching movies, playing sports, and etc. This family constantly kills the homesickness that I have and I just always have so much fun being around them and Steffan. They are the most fun, loving, and very welcoming family and we have created some of my most fond memories here in UT. Steffan brings out the best in me and as the time flies by he never seizes to amaze me. He constantly cares about his education and focuses on the most important things in life. He has many goals in life such as to gain a Doctorate Degree and serve his time in the Marines. Never have I met a guy who constantly talks about his grades and just the new things he's learned... He's taught me a lot about perceiving things differently in life... He constantly puts a smile on my face.

I'm working 6days this week and next week...Loaded with work. I work 8 hour shifts and I am thankful that I work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has been the best experience knowing that this work is done for the Lord and before working I love that we take the time to pray as a crew so that the spirit is always there to watch over us and guide us in everything that we do. I work at the BYUSLC and the NOB and both places are so clean and I really just enjoy working in the two different places.

I can't wait to begin Summer Semester. I look forward to taking Anatomy & Physiology... A 4 Credit class. I've missed taking science classes. I really just want to start learning about the career I'll be going in to... which is Early Childhood/ Special Education. It'll be the best years of my life when I start my career. I've been looking forward to that for quite some time now.

Have a Great Wednesday! Ponder the Scriptures and Pray Always.

Love Always,
Trish
